I have to let you know before I begin my review that I am handling this one a bit differently. Typically I would read the first book, post the review and then read the second book and do the same. The conundrum I ran into is as soon as I finished Prince of Wolves I couldn't keep my mind focused on anything else because I knew Blood Rites was waiting to be read. So this review is for both books at once.

For the last 2 days I have been introduced to and grown to love the characters created by Quinn Loftis. I have spent hour after hour consumed by Fane and Jacque's love story, Jen and Sally's humor as well as swooning over the arrival of Decebel and I have to say I was truly sad when I came to the end of Blood Rites (Book 3 will be released in February 2012). The Grey Wolves series is one that given the chance will grow in the hearts of many readers alike.

Both books give you points of view from all the characters involved so you never feel left out on how any one character is feeling at the current events. And I have to say as an indie writer you can see Quinn's writing improve with every page turned. I was truly surprised that these books could captivate me to the point that nothing else seemed to matter as I was reading. If I had to compare any current books on the market to this series, I would have to say they have the type of humor from Morganville Vampire series by Rachel Caine and the action/romance from the Mercedes Thompson series by Patricia Briggs.

I recommend this book to anyone who loves the paranormal romance!
